Hard to believe JP will be 2 in a week, and Traby is 5 months old! Last month, Traby was 15 pounds and 25 1/4 inches, and he has grown a bunch since then. JP has grown a bunch in the past month too. Pants we rolled up at Christmas, are no longer too long. Plus, it s harder to carry him now. My babies are growing up.

JP is back in bugball soccer, and we still hit the park almost everyday rain or shine, even in the cold. We are out most of the day. On really bad days we play at the mall in the play area there. We leave the house by 9, come home for a nap, then back out til 5. Needless to say, Traby is becoming very social! He is around toddlers all day, and anxious to be mobile.

Traby and JP continue to be best brothers. It is fun to see Traby light up when he sees JP. He even squeels louder for him, sounding like a taradactyl! JP has now decided to help change diapers. He helps with the wpes, then helps fasten the diaper. He gets T toys, clothes, etc. And...even plays with all of Traby's toys!

Well, JP is stirring. More later.

Well, I have yet again fallen way behind in updating. JP and Trajan just keep me so busy! We had a great holiday season with the boys. For Thanksgiving, we visited Aunt Bekki in Las Vegas, and for Christmas we were with Mammaw and Pappaw in Indianapolis. JP really enjoyed the lights this year, so evey day and night we were out looking at Christmas lights (until Target finally took down the Chritmas displays). He still wants his lights, but now they are all "Night-night" until net year. So very sad.

JP has become quite the talker, but most of his words and phrases do not help me at all. Of course we have Mama, Papa, Baby, eat, byebye, night, apple, banana, bar (for fruit bars), wawa, waffle, etc. However, our not so useful words are so much more fun!

he says...
Oh Man, Alright!, bugball (our soccer team), Henry, green, Emily, Harvey, Yellow, Good stuff, great, yeah, no (which is actually pronounced mo), Oh wow, feet up, feet down, out, off, on, in, hun, hi, and whoa. The list isn't exhaustive, but you get the picture. Every day seems to be a new word or two.

The other day he was asking for something. It was gobblygook Wawa. He kept saying it over and over, exactly the same way. I know it was something water, but I had no idea what. So I told him to go ask Aunt Bekki, and he went and repeated it to her. Needless to say, she didn't understand him either, so he just kept saying it louder. We finally figured it out as meaning water bottle. Then today, almost a week later, he asks for the same thing. Smart cookie I am, I remembered that gobblygook wawa is water bottle! One very happy toddler.

We are in the middle of tantrum throwing around here. He will just lay on the ground and cry. Occasionally he looks around to make sure someone is watching, then the crying continues. IT is hard not to laugh.

He is still amazing with Trajan, who is just in love with JP. Trajan makes JP look unhappy. I always thought JP was the happiest kid I had ever known, but Trajan is even more happy. Everywhere he goes he gets comments about his smiles. HE is such a great kid. We are really blessed to have such happy, healthy, and secure children. JP has added to his Thomas engines since Christmas, so I will post an updated list here shortly.

Hard to believe he is almost 2 and Tra is 4 1/2 months. Amazing. Where does the time go?

Well, naptime is over, so I must go for now. Hopefully I will update more frequently now that things are a bit more predictable.

This is a good comparison of JP and Trajan at just about the same age. Enjoy!

For those of you who would like to get a headstart on Christmas...JP loves Thomas the Tank Engine. This is a complete (as of 11/7/07) list of the engines and DVD's that he currently has. He also has some engines that are not thomas, and he is also perfectly happy with them...as long as they are trains! The kid is a train addict! Along with airplanes, fire engines, big trucks, bulldozers, backhoes, and other construction equipment. If it is big and moves...he loves it.

Trajan is doing great. He is now 2 months old. He weighed 11# 4 oz at his 2 month checkup. He is starting to coo and smiles a lot. He seems to be a very happy little guy, just like his big brother. Every day is an adventure and we are enjoying every moment of it with the boys! They are a true blessing!

Have a great week!

We took JP and Trajan Trick or Treating last friday night and JP had a blast. He enjoyed running around and seeing everyone all dressed up. IT was fun to watch him just "Go, go, go" down the sidewalk stopping only to see other kids. He didn't really understand the getting candy part, so that made it even more fun for me! Trajan also got in on the action drawing many random complements and even staying awake for a good portion.

Saturday we took JP and Trajan to the pumpkin patch down in Gilroy. Again, JP had fun. He rode the carousel, the cow train, the kid train, and the hayride. As usual, he ran and ran and just had a blast.

We just had a great family weekend. Tomorrow we leave for Las Vegas to go trick or treating with Aunt Bekki. JP had fun last year, but this year he should really just have a ball. I will post pics from that trip later.

Enjoy the pics-when I finally post them!

Well, Trajan has been here almost 2 weeks. He was born at 1:30 pm on August 30, 2007. He weighed 7 # 9 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. He is just beautiful!!! JP is a very caring big brother, and we are really blessed to have 2 such perfect boys. Trajan likes to snuggle and sleep, so we are adjusting to quite a different personality than JP...however, he is also very stubborn and knows just how he likes things, so he isn't too laid back! I will work on posting pictures, but life is pretty crazy. You may just have to trust me for a while...Trajan is beautiful!!!

Ok, so I have fallen way behind in the posting of updates. Life with JP just doesn't leave much time anymore! Our newest addition will arrive thursday around 1 pm. We are scheduled for a csection so it should be pretty much on time.

JP is doing great. He never walks anywhere...he does a skipping motion when he walks, but most of the time he runs. He loves to be outside playing, and we still go to the park quite a bit. We also go to the Children's Discovery Museum where they have a traveling Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit and a toddler/preschool playroojm called the Wonder Cabinet. It is quite a lot of fun, and there are usually several kids from our playgroup there that he knows.

He still doesn't talk much, but he really doesn't need to since we respond to his gestures, signs, and "uh-uh" sounds. He has quite a few baby signs---milk, raisin, cereal, banana, baby, boo-boo, more, all done, etc. Most of his signs relate to food! He is a pretty good eater, he loves fruits and veggies...he definately did not get his Mama's eating habits! He doesn't like fried mozzerella...where did I go wrong?

At his 18 month check up he was 31 1/2 inches tall and weighed 25 1/4 pounds. Pretty much average for his age, but his head circ. is still off the charts. Oh well, more room for his brains.

I am excited to see how he does with Trajan come thursday. It should be interesting. He really does quite well with his cousin Lincoln when we see him, so I think he willl be ok. I think he will just be a little too eager to share and that may cause some issues. So, think of JP on thursday when he becomes a big brother! (someone actually asked if he was going to be a big brother or big sister---I had a bard time keeping a straight face when I answered!)

Well, this post will have to satisfy everyone until after Trajan and I get home from the hospital and I can post new pictures of the 2 boys together!

Have a great week!

Jack, Elizabeth, JP and Trajan!

Happy First Birthday to JP!!!

These are pictures from our very first night with JP and our mexican 1st birthday dinner tonight. We went out to Chevy's for JP's birthday...we didn't have them sing, but we got the hat anyway.

JP is doing great. He is crawling everywhere and is into anything he can find. He says Mama, Dada, and cheese. He is such a happy baby, and we are so blessed to have him as our son.

Happy Birthday Sweet Little Boy! It is hard to believe you have been with us one year already!
We love you!
