We had a good day yesterday, a good night last night, and we are packing our bags to go to Las Vegas tomorrow!

JP is finally getting settle after his trip to Mammaw and Pappaw's house...just in time to go to Aunt Bekki's! He had a few rough days when he got home, but his Papa was traveling out of town, and I think he missed him. Now that Jack is back, JP seems much happier. In fact, Jack and I have even been able to put JP to bed and watch tv together! We have the monitor to listen for him, and he lays in bed for a bit before drifting off to sleep.

A new development:

He seems to want to suck his thumb...he pops out his pacifier and sucks his fist right before he falls asleep. We will see what happens, but Mammaw would be so happy if he sucks his thumb! I will try to send out some new pictures before we leave on thursday afternoon.

We had a very nice Easter. JP did not sleep well last night after an exciting day of visits from Great Uncle Bucky and cousins Debi and Denise, as well as Cousin Gina, and Aunt Deb, Cousins Cory and Ben, and Aunt Tammi and Uncle "Just a baby" Bob. However, he slept through breakfast at church so Mammaw could show him off to all of her friends, and then only fussed a little during the service.

When we arrived home, he ate well and went down for a nap. Well, he was held for a nap. He awoke in a much better mood.

We arrived at Mammaw's last night, and she quickly forgot she had a birthday! We were met by Aunt Tammi, Cousin Hilari, and Mammaw and JP was quite a hit! Later we got to meet Uncle "He's just a baby" Bob and cousin Kevin, and see Pappaw again. Everyone is in love.

Today, Aunt Deb and cousins Cory, Matt, James, Sara, Caleb, and Carly have all been to visit. Great Uncle Bucky came by to visit also. Aunt Bekki has been calling frequently to get updates.

Papa is missing his boy, since he stayed behind in California to work. We miss him, too. It is strange not to have Papa here to hold his boy.

Today we went for JP's 2 month check up. He is now 12 pounds and 3 ounces, and 22 1/2 inches long. His head circ. is 16 1/4 inches. All in all, a very big boy! It is hard to believe that he is really a premmie! He was given 4 shots, 2 in each leg. He did great, only crying because Mama had to hold down his arms! Right now, he is napping off the effects of the shots. The Dr. said he may be fussy the next few days, or he may be sleepy. For a boy who hates to sleep, being sleepy is torture! However he reacts, he will be all over it by the time we see Mammaw, Pappaw, and all of his Aunts, Uncles, and cousins this weekend.

JP, Mama, and Papa had such a nice day saturday. We went out for Indian food for lunch, then went for a walk and sat in the park. Later in the evening, we went for another short walk. Little One does not like to miss the action. He woke up around 7 am and didn't take a nap until 11. Then he slept for about 2 hours and was up the rest of the day until he went to sleep around 8 pm for the night. He is just such a sweetie!
