This week has been wonderful! JP has been in a great mood, and has accomplished quite a few things. This week he...reached out for toys while on his belly, he brought toys to his mouth while playing on his back, and he grabbed ahold of a hanging toy repeatedly. Most importantly...he FINALLY sicked his thumb! He had been working on it for a month now, and all week he has been just chewing, but tonight as he was going to sleep, he actually sucked his thumb (his right, just in case you were wondering)!

This week, we don't have much to do until Friday when we leave for Philadelphia to go to Wizard World. We will get to see a lot of realtives who haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting JP. We can't wait!

Then when we return, JP goes in for his 4 month shots. Wow! Where has all the time gone, it seems like just yesterday he was born, and now tomorrow he will be 16 weeks old. It is just amazing.

Have a great week!

love, Jack, Elizabeth, and JP

It has been a rough week, JP and I both had colds, so we were pretty worn out. JP was fussy quite a bit, but still had plenty of smiles to share! He worried me on wednesday when his temperature went up to 101, and he wasn't eating well. Of course, we went to the Dr. and he was full of smiles and coos and he was kicking his feet, so she said come back if he got worse. It was his first fever, poor baby...poor Mama. Papa has done a great job taking over a lot of the daily care for JP so Mama can get some much needed rest this weekend. It has been a wonderful thing, a short nap, reading a couple magazines, and even updating the blog and sending out pictures! JP loves his Papa!

Last weekend, on Mother's Day, was JP's dedication. We were with Mammaw and Pappaw, and all of our Aunties, Uncles, and cousins over the weekend. It was so much fun, JP seemed to love the attention. We also got to see his cousin Hilari graduate with her MPH from Indiana University. He and I walked around the Hoosier Dome so he wouldn't fuss! He is a bit "high maintenance", but then so am I!

This week, we don't have much planned. We will know about our house this weekend...assuming everything comes back ok after inspections and such, we will move in July. We are excited, Jack and I really like the home, and think it will be a great place to raise up JP for his first few years. Once we know for sure, then I will post pictures for all to see.

That's all for now! Thanks for reading about Just Perfect, and his family!

Sorry that I haven't kept up with updating like I wanted to, but there seems to be a little one that has other ideas! He is taking up a good deal of my time nowadays, and he has very definate ideas about what is aceptable to him! It has become my duty to figure out just what is going through his little mind. Most days, if all else fails to comfort him, I can take him for a walk and he will watch the trees or the lights and is fascinated.

During our trip to Las Vegas, he really enjoyed the ceilings at the Venetian...maybe he will grow up to be a Michaelangelo...with that or a tree-trimmer, a ceiling fan installer, or a lightbulb changer! Something that involves looking up would be my bet!

Have a great week!
